Exotic Fibers on Support Spindles

Sold out.

Supported spindles are hand-spindles that rest in a small metal, wood, or ceramic spindle bowl instead of dropping. They're used in current and historic cultures around the world. Support Spindles are especially suited for spinning fine yarns, though the Navajo Spindle can be used to produce fine or bulky yarn.

Jennifer Green loves the supported spindle in all it's forms and will share supported spindle terminology, history, spinning technique, fiber prep, and yarn finishing.

A variety of fibers including yak, camel, and cotton will be sampled on supported spindles.  Here is your chance to explore fine fibers and spinning them on your Russian, Tibetan, Tahkli, Navajo, Phang or bead spindles.

FEE: $55 includes all instruction, locks, spinning wool and add-ins, and instruction. No additional materials are required.
