Knit A Colorwork Hat

Tired of knitting the same beanie, and need the confidence to jump into colorwork knitting of all kinds? Learn to knit this Fair Isle hat, using several traditional techniques for color work and stranding, and watch your knitting skills rocket.  

Melanie Smith, published author of articles in Ashford's Spin and Interweaves' Spin Off Magazines, will teach the difference between color work and Fair Isle knitting, as well as tension tricks and pattern reading for colorwork.

FEE: $58 includes all instruction, handouts, and the hat pattern.

CLASS TIME: Mon., May 29: 1-5pm

SKILL LEVEL: Students must know how to knit and purl, as well as knit in the round prior to class. 

STUDENTS SUPPLY: 100 yds each of two different colors worsted weight yarn, size US 7 circular needles with 16" cord, stitch markers, scissors, and any note taking material desired. 

LOCATION: The Belle Events Center, 120 13th Ave.NampaID 83651, 1/2 Block from FiberTrain Festival. Enjoy 13 local restaurants, a coffee house, and tea bar within 2 blocks, and free parking.

Class fees can not be refunded or transferred after May 8, 2017. 10% of your class fee is non-refundable after purchase, and will be retained by FiberTrain Festival to cover processing fees.

Classes booked on a first-come-first-serve basis. Transfers and refunds will be approved on an individual basis by contacting FiberTrain Festival staff at info@fibertrainfestival.com. Please allow 48 hours to receive a response to your contact. Class fees that qualify for a refund after approval will be refunded on or before June 15, 2017, and may take up to 14 days to be viewable on your bank statement. 

Due to limited space at FiberTrain Festival, fees paid toward classes, registrations, and services, are exclusive to FiberTrain Festival and may not be refunded or transferred as credit toward purchases or registrations at other events sponsored by Puffy Mondaes Maker Space. Fees paid are not transferrable to following FiberTrain Festivals registrations, goods, or purchases of any kind.
