Yearn to learn to weave? Rigid heddle weaving is easy when you learn from a pro, in person! With this one project you'll gain your foundation in weaving lingo, the basics of warping the loom, and feel confident in starting your next project solo.
Melanie Smith, published author of articles in Ashford's Spin and Interweaves' Spin Off Magazines and accomplished weaver, will show you how to warp and weave an over-the-shoulder bag on a Rigid heddle loom. You'll also learn to add texture and artistic add-ons to your weaving, as well as how to finish your work.
FEE: $60 includes all instruction during your two class sessions. Please see "Students Supply" section below for detail on what to bring. $15 rental looms available.
CLASS TIME: Sun. May 28, 9am-12pm: weave as long as you like in the classroom at the Belle Center. Mon. May 29, 10-12: finish and remove your bag from the loom. This is a two session class with time to weave in between.
